Generational place, genetic memory, blood lines, the space between memory and photography. Where is ourplace within the legacy of our parents?

Through the use of painting, photography, and drawings which reference image from the Civil Rights Movement, we investigate the impact of race in American and its effect on our intimate relationship.

Bloodlines, Exchange, and a selection of paintings from Whitewash (2006-2009) are on show through July 31st, 2010 at the Contemporary Museum in Baltimore as part of McCallum Tarry's first mid-career solo show, Bearing Witness: Work by Bradley McCallum & Jacqueline Tarry.
